How To Get My Old Phone Number Back T-mobile

  1. trying to empathise how to get my old number back

So the number was on simple mobile but it passed through the 180 solar day cancellation time, but was still unavailable to exist assigned for some reason, which I figured must exist due to another 30+ day quarantine phase... So I waited 30 days, chosen dorsum, and the lady I spoke to said they had already given the number back to Tmobile (maybe not true? but that's what she said).

So I chosen Tmobile, the lady I spoke to said the number wasn't bachelor in the arrangement (representatives before had been able to run into information technology as available in the system, just non able to successfully assign it), then I idea it must accept been assigned to someone else already. However, just to check I dialed the number and got a 'this number is not in service' message.

At this betoken I'm generally just wondering most how this procedure works. Maybe the number is all the same in quarantine (merely then why did she say they gave it back to Tmobile? and why could Tmobile not observe it as available in their organization?)

If anybody could shed light on this procedure or the time frames for releasing numbers back into availability it would exist much appreciated.

  2. Simple Mobile assigned me at least i number that was out of service less than 6 months, so by now your old number is probably in the pool of bachelor numbers to be reassigned randomly, fifty-fifty if they won't give it to y'all as a vanity number.

I am sure someone volition disagree with the advice I volition exist giving.
Is it just curiosity or do you lot 'actually' need the number?
    Give up.

Even if you had thousands of dollars to spend on this quest it is
highly unlikely you volition get the number back.

If yous had the money, y'all could purchase a bunch of T-Mobile SIMs---potentially hundreds of them.
And and so find out when/where numbers in that prefix are being handed out.
And and so you start accounts until you get to your number.
Of course, somehow it might not be bachelor or gets handed out to someone
else while you are doing the process. Y'all would not need to fund the accounts
    merely buy the SIMs.

    As I said before.
Give up. Y'all have better things to do with your time.

  4. You lot lost the number due to user error. The carriers have no obligation and nothing to gain in recovering it for yous. If it was lost due to operator error filing an FCC complaint would likely get it dorsum eventually. But a number that expired because on non-payment is gone for skilful, I'1000 afraid.

  5. The number got sent back to whoever is the ultimate original owning carrier or CLEC of the number.

If that happens to be T-Mobile - and at that place isn't whatever reason to think that is truthful just based on what Simple'south CSR might take idea, or just considering TM is the upstream MNO for Unproblematic, MVNOs often contract for numbers separately from the service - and then you would demand to go far worth TM's while to go to the trouble of getting hold of the "vanity number" for you.

I would think a corporate store managing director might be willing to give information technology a shot if you lot were to promise to sign upwardly for a postpaid contract and/or buy a fancy new telephone from him on the condition of his being able to get the number you want for you.

And if non possible at first, stop in once a week or so from then on until he's either successful or tells you lot to finish pestering him 8-)

Yes the odds are slim. . .

  6. the number was originally a tmobile number. well the tmobile lady said the number wasnt currently available, I guess I was wondering when I should expect it to exist available, if it's going through a quarantine/crumbling procedure at tmobile.

are you more likely to get a request like this through postpaid than prepaid? has anyone actually experienced that?

I am not certain what stage of the grieving process you are in currently.
    1. Denial
    2. Anger
    3. Bargaining
    4. Depression
    five. Acceptance

Y'all still don't 'get' that it is not coming back.
Looks like you are at stride 3.

  8. sooo, in that location is a process that this goes through. Any helpful remarks on the process would be much appreciated.

  9. Every bit I said it'south a very long shot, equally far as I know the simply manner is what I outlined above.

  10. yeah I don't think y'all tin get information technology back, merely who knows these days with jail cell carriers.

  11. Thank you HansCT -- my snarky reply was aimed at rfranzq. Estimate I should learn to answer with quote.
